2015s & 2016s Yuletide Awards - St Mirren Youth Football Club

Well what can we say, the players had a ball, the coaches had a ball, the parents even had a ball and took the weans on in a game of fitba’, oh aye and Santa made an appearance and had a ball too!

2022 will see the creation of a 2016s Squad, which might mean the 2015s Squad will have to work a lot harder – as quite a lot of our youngest players, stepped in to make sure the 2015s kept going. The dreaded Covid had a lot to do with this, but we believe in giving our youngsters the opportunity to play. Some were ready for it and those who we felt needed more practice time, will get their reward in the New Year.

Thanks to our parents, carers and helpers who supported our players, noisily, but in good spirit. Long may this continue as Manno and Tommy will be recruiting new Coaches and Team Helpers, to ensure our youngest players get the game time they deserve.

We currently have one Team Helper for the 2016s, who is approved by the Scottish Youth FA – we need more people to help run this new registration.

We have three Scottish Youth FA approved Coaches and Team Helpers for the 2015s – again, have a think about what you can offer the Club – and get in touch!
