The club have a number of Teams across various age-groups. If you are a parent, looking to get your daughter or son involved in playing football, you should check out our Contacts page for the details of the Team Secretary, for your youngsters age-group.

You may need to consider if your youngster is already registered with a youth football club, you will need to ask your current team secretary or coach to release his registration from the Scottish Youth FA. Young people are not entitled to train elsewhere if they are already ‘registered’ or ‘signed’.

St Mirren Youth Football Club prefer to watch prospective players settle into our set-up over a period of time, so that they are comfortable in a new environment and get to know their team mates. In time, we give our players the opportunity to play, when we think they are ready. We don’t want to rush them, but we also have a duty of care toward them, if we think they can handle football, they’ll play!

All of our Coaches and Team Helpers will have completed successfully, a Child Wellbeing in Scottish Football eLearning module, a CoVID 19 Awareness eLearning module, a current Disclosure Scotland PVG Certificate, and will be working towards a Mental Health Awareness eLearning module.

Most of our Coaches will have Scottish FA Coach Education Certificates suitable for the age and stage of their players, and will deliver coaching content that meets the players needs. Coaches may also have an approved Sports Injury First Aid Certificate.

All of our Team Squads, will have two coaches at our activities with appropriate qualifications, including a First Aider.
